Pupa Milano Luminys Touch Face Illuminator with Light-Effect Treatment

I saw this in a magazine, and thought it looks really good, like it will work. So the next time I went into Sasa, I bought it.

Pupa Milano Luminys Touch Face Illuminator with Light-Effect Treatment

Available: All Pupa counters. I bought from Sasa.

Volume: 2.8 ml

Star Properties: Face illuminator. Treatment results: Claims to brightenface by 4% after 14 days of use, ad 9% after 28 days. Claims to lighten dark circles by 14% after 28 days of use. Make-up results: Claims to instantly minimizes and corrects under eye dark circles and signs of tiredness for more radiance. Low allergy risk and dermatologically tested. Paraben-free.

All claims and details printed on the box and slip of instruction are shown below. I have typed out the main points above.

This is the ingredients list.

There are 3 shades, 01, 02, and 03. My shade is 02 (NC25), but I think I could have gone for 01 to use it as a highlighter.

There is a slip of paper detailing the claims in the box. It comes in about 10 different languages!

And I think this is really useful to show you!

This is the clicky pen itself.

And that's the click button.

Push, push, and you will see some product coming out. You need to wait after 2 pushes, because if you keep clicking, by the time the product gets out, it will be too much and just overflow the brush.

Usage:
I only show my eye here, but I do use it to cover little acne spots or redness around the nose and darkness around the lips. But I think it's enough to show dark circles because that really is the darkest thing on my face. Lol.

I don't use it as a highlighter though because 02 is really my exact shade. I have thought of getting 01 as a highlighter, just because this is too good to be true!!

From left to right: Before, Apply, After.

Result:
I think the result is really obvious! Like, oh wow! This thing is amazing!

Coverage:
As you can see, it is very high coverage. I did not expect it to cover anything because it is so lightweight, fluid enough. Too many concealers that I've use are just too dry and cakey.

I couldn't believe this on first try, so I wait a bit long to review this, when in fact, I got it some two months ago. I am very, very skeptical of products that advertise on magazines (especially HerWorld), and invite bloggers to go and test.

Anyway, I did this on bare face, so I thought I should blend it out properly with my Dr. Jart BB Cream.

I don't normally use a brush for BB Cream, but I was testing the e.l.f 11 Piece Brush Set, which I am so ready to review! Hehe, so stay tuned.

And here's the full coverage.

I think it's just amazing, agree?

I mean, compare this to the Garnier BB Eye Roll-On, that also claims treatment and whatever.

I still use the Garnier Eye Roll-On because it is so convenient to apply, and the formula is so thin and easy to blend. After these many months, coming 1 year of using Garnier Eye, I've come to find that it does brightens my dark circles, but it does not exactly conceal. And it doesn't treats, that's for sure. I feel like it's a morning rush-time quick-fix.

But if I have time, and I see that my dark circles are really dark, I still reach for a proper concealer-cum-illuminator, that is the Pupa Luminys Touch.

And that's the final look after concealing and BB cream-ing. (Seriously, I swear by Dr. Jart, and can't stop raving about it.)

Pleasantly surprised! 5/5
I can't vouch for the treatment claims because I am not that hardworking, and also scared to conceal so heavily everyday. I feel like my eye area and face will breakout if I keep hiding under so much silicones and talc the whole day.

However, I really like how completely full coverage the Luminys Touch is, yet feels like my standard BB cream (Dr. Jart is only medium coverage). I like how 02 matches my skin so well, and also how easy to blend and how soft this is. I like how well the clicker works. The brush is okay, I use my fingers more, because I feel like the product doesn't sets when I use the brush. haha, it is like the brush just keeps sweeping it all over.

I recommend this to anyone who's just starting out makeup and also to anyone who has been hunting for a good concealer for ages but still haven't found one. It is just so good that I am terribly tempted to go and get the 01 to double up as a highlighter. It is quite costly, but I feel that this is a worthy investment that you will not regret and use to dryness. And it's really better than getting a cheaper concealer but find it doesn't works, and you go out hunting for months/years and spend so much more hunting. It's better to get it right the first time.

Last but not least, I like the name! Luminys = Luminous. Too cute. haha.

PS: Pupa is an extremely good brand as far as the 4 products I own are concerned. It has not yet disappointed me in any way. You may like to check out my previous reviews of Pupa Rock Pop Kit and Eyebrow Pencil here. I love the brow pencil!

And you may also want to check out their range featured by Sassydoll here. Pupa definitely has been sitting in Sasa for more than 2 years, but it is such an unloved brand due to lack of publicity, high prices, small counters, and low distribution. I am so glad they are expanding in Singapore and acquiring more distribution spaces instead of just Sasa alone, because I was previously afraid they will run away. LoL.

The biggest assurance I get from Pupa is actually the image that all their products are made in Europe, like how this is made in Italy. I hope they can sustain this... ...

Have you tried any of Pupa's products? Are you interested in anything from them?
