Finally, I can find NYX in Singapore!

I stumbled upon this little shop at 313@Somerset about two months ago, stocking lots of NYX products. And having heard so much about this brand from Youtube, I decided to get a few items to try. Other than the Jumbo Pencil which a lot of people swear by, I picked up a lipstick which look great from its ingredients.

So here is my first  item from NYX:

Volume: 4g


Star Properties: Slightly more like a lipbalm, containing Bees wax, carnuaba wax, and candelilla wax, as first 3 ingredients.

Colour
This isn't a colour that exactly suits me, but I bought it because I like the name so much, Paris. It is a Twilight Lavender that is lighter in shade, and more pink. And it is on the cold tone, mauve side.

Feel
As expected, this is not drying, and really feel more like a lip balm than normal lipsticks. However, also as expected, due to the higher wax content, this lipstick is less pigmented, and I normally use it by swiping the entire lipstick over my lips instead of using a lip brush, just to get more colour out of it.

Look
This is what it looks like after getting enough product on.

I have been reaching for this often enough recently. But I don't feel that this is a Holy Grail lipstick because I should have chosen a colour that suits me instead of by name. I think this particular is too cold for me, and stands out too much, yet in a way that dulls my face.

Overall, I like it: 3.5/5
I think NYX lipstick is good, I don't mind getting another one if I need a new colour. But this colour does not suits me. Haha, so I advise readers out there, don't buy a lipstick because of the name! =PPP
