I just wanna RAVE about this!
Some things in life, you don't really have to look far and wide, or pay a lot of money to experience.
When my eyes roamed pass this tiny package of three little bottles in Sasa, something told me I should pick it up even though I already had tonnes of unused skincare at home.
I am glad I listened to the voice in my head, because I made a really great discovery for my skin!

Packaging
The bottles are good quality plastic, but the dispense is HORRID, in that there is no hole-cap, and the moment I try to pour some toner or cleansing water out, it all pours out.
But I understand that this is a trial kit, and that the big bottle is not like that. So I made use of those bottles I kept from other skincare, transfer the toner and cleansing water over into tiny pump bottles (from the
DHC Camu-camu Whitening (image credits to Sesame of Viva Woman), and my
Phyris Serum).
I only keep the smaller bottles that can be washed and opened easily for travel purposes. Do throw your larger bottles, as it is highly unlikely you will transfer sooo much product into another bottle. Remove clutter as much as possible. =D
Texture
1. Cleansing Milk (contains Hazelnut Oil to ensure skin is nourished and moisturised. Removes make-up easily from face and eyes using a cotton pad.) The texture of the milk is much like any other cleansing milk. But it smells fragrant.
2. Cleansing Water (with anti-oxidizing Green Tea Extract and claming Rose Water to remove light make-up from face and eye contour.) This really feels like water, but has a strange smell which I cannot identify, though not unpleasant.
3. Gentle Aromatic Exfoliant (is infused with Precious Plant Oils to increase suppleness and regenerate new skin cells. Apply a small amount on face or deollete area and gently rub in circular motions to remove impurities and surface dead cells.) I think this is quite rough, and am quite cautious of it. The smell is really nice. It is the standard organic herb sweet kind of smell, but I can't pinpoint the source.
4. Gentle Clarifying Purifying Mask (contains Kaolin and Birch Extract to purify clogged pores and clarify skin tone. Apply liberally to face and neck area and wash off when dry.) Pretty much the same as the exfoliant.
5. Toning Lotion (is ideal for removing traces of make-up from face and ees. Floral Waters aid in toning and decongesting pores. Also suitable for use as a quick skin refresher for daytime.)
Effect
1. Cleansing Milk
I kind of like this, yet am not very sure of the effect. I find it extremely mild on the skin, since it is soap-free, basically just milk and water. But I feel that it does not cleanse well enough, as I find more and more pimples starting to appear ever since I use the Nuxe Cleanser.
2. Cleansing Water
Personally, I do think that this cleansing water cleanses at all! LOL. But I find that it is a very good potion to massage into my face right after cleansing, in the bathroom. It's feel like massage water.
3. Gentle Aromatic Exfoliant
I don't think this has the kind of effect I want. It feels only as good as any other scrub form scrub, such as St Ives.
4. Gentle Clarifying Purifying Mask
Don't see the effect.
5. Toning Lotion
The one I really want to talk about is THIS! =D I actually started using this first, before the rest. So basically, I was using my old skincare set, plus this, as the toner from my old skincare set ran out first.
And then, all I knew was, my laugh lines miraculously soften so much in a matter of a few days!! I think it totally disappeared then.
In time to come, I realise that if I were lazy, and skip toning on certain nights, my laugh lines would surface sliiiigghhtttly. And then if I weren't lazy and use it continuously, day and night, my laugh lines just disappear!
The skin there became more supple, and now, when I smile hard, the crease doesn't stays. Before using Nuxe Toning Lotion, my laugh lines were so bad that the crease just stays on so hard that I feel so conscious of smiling. I am so thankful that this toner exists!
I think it may be due to its compatibility with the condition of my skin. I remember Sesame of Viva Woman talking about type of skins, and using oils as moisturizers, etc. I used to think of my skin as dehydrated, meaning got oil, lack water. But now, I think my skin may be more of dry, meaning lack oil as well.
I use to think it is more mature skin that can take oil moisturizers, but I now find that my current skin is taking oil-base toners very, very well. It is absorbing, it is showing the effects. Totally love Nuxe Toning Lotion right now.
This has really bring me to some kind of revelation. Skincare, is like what many have said, a journey, and exploration to understand thyself better. =)
Rating:
I don't really want to rate the other products. Let's just say, I give the Toning Lotion 5/5!
I have loooonnnggg read raves from other girls about the Nuxe range, but I have never found the price worth it. Now I think I will repurchase, but just the toner. So I guess, if you somewhat identify your skin as dry, and need to correct some lines of the face, you might want to try this. =)
