I did the info writeup in the previous post about this, so I wouldn't repeat it. =) Today, I am just here to show you the before and after pictures. I myself didn't think it would be so amazing until I put the two together.
Before (Left) and After (Right).
1) There is obvious whitening of the aggravated mosquito bite into skin colour, even lighter than my natural skin colour.
2) There is also obvious flattening to virtually flat.
3) The amazing thing is that this gel only claims to heal scars up to two years old. But I swear, this overly-scratched mosquito bite of mine is 5 years old or more, and my mum has been nagging at me to stop disturbing it and let it heal.
But we all know that wounds do not heal perfectly. Even if I don't disturb it, it will still "not heal". In fact, in the before photo, that state already doesn't has blood and is biologically healed, but not visibly healed. So as human beings (and me a beauty blogger), it's considered not healed.
4) The best part is that I got to the After stage in about 3 months, but was really just too lazy to post. I haven't been applying Hiruscar on this scar for months already.
******
Along my journey, my brother got burnt by the exhaust of a motorbike, and he asked me for a solution. I immediately said Hiruscar, and since I deplete my tube so fast and I carry mine in my handbag, I advised him to get one for himself.
haha, I successfully "sold" my first Hiruscar since my mum did buy a new tube for him.
At more than $20 for a gel cream that depletes so fast if you really use it 4 times a day, I would still say this is worth it.
How long have we girls been searching for that miracle scar-healing thing, be it oil or cream or what... I even shelled out the $46 for Palmer's Vitamin E + Shark's oil scar serum, and it didn't work.
The only con I have is that as you can see from the After photo, it promotes hair growth. So I'd warn against using this on your face. I use this gel on my other scars, including the scrapped knee one in my previous post, and yes, it induced tiny hairs to grow on my knee.
For the legs, I have my epilator, but face... ... I think you will find it quite a disaster even though nowadays, people can pay for threading services or gel peel facial hair removal... ...
haha, anyway,

This is what I call magical.

hi there! may i know how often u put the gel on? and do u rub until it completely absorbs?
About 4 times a day. I bring it in my bag, so I basically ignore stares, and just apply when I have nothing to do on the bus/mrt, during my lectures, etc. =D
--how bout deep scars? like ice pick scar in face .. can cure ah?
From your picture post, the treated scar looks like the color is lighter than your actual skintone color.. is it going to be noticeable? or eventually will have the same color as your skin? my concern is that I have big scars due to accident (size like two $1 coin side by side) and i couldnt wear skirts because im embarrassed of people staring at it and they are dark too.. my worry is that if it is treated, it might look like a skin patch. thanks
Hmmm, to be really honest, I have no idea where that scar is now. So I guess, it does goes back to skin color. (I mean, I tried to look for it when I saw your comment, but can't find it after a couple of years.)
However, not every scar will return to skin color. Keloids don't. I used Hiruscar on a keloid on my knee (from a fall), and it is still an obvious skin patch that's is smoother and lighter. Yet, keloids are scars that pop out so much, and I need to say, HIruscar did make them flatten to the same height as my normal skin. I honestly have no idea how to make lighter skin patch grow back too. T.T =(
Biologically, I guess the hair and pigment cells under deep scars like keloids are just absolutely dead.
The photo I show is that of a mosquito bite gone wrong because I scratched and scratched. I do suppose mosquito bites are mild scars compared to keloids and surgery scars.
